Why ReadHeavily?
Some years ago a friend shipped several books to me without warning after I suffered a personal crisis of unforseen proportions.
Inside the box was a simple note, carved with a thick blue highlighter like some ancient petroglyph. It said, “My advice to you: read heavily.”
Enjoy books. Only through exposure to great words will you meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

He asked me where I got the name for the blog. I reminded him of the story. He says, “Oh yeah. I ripped that line from Animal House when the tell Bluto, ‘My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.”
